Dear College Park and Bayside Academy Families,
We would like to provide you the First Trimester Update for the 2018-2019 school year.
Fundraising Update:
As of November 30, 2018, we have raised $88,339 (38%) of our $232,500 fundraising goal.
Thank you all for making the FMS holiday fundraiser a success! Through donations and purchases of gift cards, wreaths and Christmas trees we raised $5,850 for FMS. We would like to give a HUGE shout out to Laura Ing for her hard work in making this fundraiser such a big success and making holiday gifting so much easier for all of us. Thank you Laura!
We would also like send a big Thank You to everyone who donated to FMS during the Giving Tuesday fundraiser. We raised $9,140 for FMS in one day!
We still need your support to reach our fundraising goal of $232,500! Make your donation today! We accept donations year round. No gift is too small to help support FMS and the Mandarin program. And if available, request a matching donation. You can see if your employer will match your donation here.
We are proud to announce that during the first trimester, FMS approved the funding requests from College Park and Bayside to provide additional support to our students in the Mandarin program. College Park will be receiving iPads in the classrooms, allowing students to use these devices to access the Better Immersion curriculum resources online. Bayside will be receiving additional Chromebooks to be used in helping students complete online assignments, conduct research, as well as practicing Chinese keyboarding skills. Additionally, College Park will be receiving new costumes for our participation in the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade. Bayside will be receiving new cultural costumes to be integrated in their enrichment classes as well as for their End-of-Year Celebration of Learning performance.
