• Prepare students for high school and college Mandarin by transitioning students from traditional Chinese characters (taught at College Park) to simplified Chinese characters.  This involves some repetition of material taught at College Park, in order to learn simplified Chinese characters.
  • Practice speaking and writing like a native Chinese, using proper Chinese grammar and a variety of vocabulary.
  • Exposure to cultural experiences and enrichment through weekly enrichment classes taught by specialists, as well as occasional field trips.  Cultural enrichment instruction culminates in an end-of-the-year performance by all of the students in each grade.
