FMS Gala – Date and Venue Change – SAVE THE DATE

Friends of Mandarin Scholars (FMS) will host our 5th annual Gala on Saturday, March 4th, 2017.  Please note this is a change of date.  Originally the gala was scheduled for February as it has been the last several years, however, we are also changing venues this year.  We are very excited to announce that our new venue is Domenico Winery in San Carlos.  They have been great to work with thus far and we expect to have an exciting, fun-filled evening with as many of you as possible from the College Park family in attendance.

As many of you know, Shieny Chung and I have acted as Chair and Co-Chair (respectively) of the gala for the last three years.  With a ton of help from numerous volunteers and very generous bidders, we’ve had a good run, growing the gala not only in size, but in money raised each year.  Last year was unbelievable!  With graduating 5th graders, it’s time to pass the reins and Camille Mårtensson has accepted the challenge!

Camille is on the FMS Board.  She and her husband C.F. are parents to College Park 2nd grader Lulu and pre–schooler, Felix.  In other words, she’ll be around a long time!  Shieny and I are co-chairing this year, along with Camille and Nhi Huynh as Auction Chair, offering whatever we can so that Camille is ready to spearhead next year’s gala with ease.  Please say hello should you see her around campus.  More importantly, if you have items you’d like to donate for auction, please see her or Nhi.
