The Friends of Mandarin Scholars (FMS) is a nonprofit organization that raises funds for the Mandarin program in the San Mateo Foster City school district.  FMS is pleased to co-host its 4th annual Multi-Lingual Resource Fair (MLRF) with the Foster City Library to celebrate the linguistic and cultural diversity of our community.

There will be multilingual storytimes, activities, crafts, performances, book swap, and book fair!

* Storytimes in Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Spanish
* Color and draw with published author and artist Charlotte Cheng
* Create paper art with origami artists
* Build your own Lego creations
* Design your own spaghetti tower using design thinking techniques
* Free face painting
* Clean out your closet and bring a book to donate or swap out for another!
* Visit the Scholastic Book Fair and gift a book.  All purchases benefit the College Park Library!
* Debuting this year is the middle school Mandarin Club from Bayside STEM Academy!  The Mandarin Club will be leading activities such as Chinese Chess, calligraphy, and lantern making!
Come and have fun, get to know students and parents in the program, support its growth, and enjoy the many benefits of being part SMFC’s diverse school district!
